The Digital ECA establishes provisions for the protection of children and adolescents in digital environments (Digital Statute of the Child and Adolescent). This law sets out measures to safeguard children and adolescents in digital environments and applies to any information technology product or service directed at, or likely to be accessed by, children and adolescents in Brazil, regardless of its location, development, manufacture, offering, commercialization, or operation. The Digital ECA Foundation is a certification intended for individuals seeking to validate their knowledge of the Brazilian Digital Statute for Children and Adolescents (ECA Digital).
Exam Content
The exam covers topics such as the fundamental principles and preliminary provisions of the Digital ECA; definitions related to information technology products and services; duties and obligations of providers; protection measures to ensure the safety, privacy, and well-being of children and adolescents in digital environments; risk prevention and mitigation; age assurance mechanisms; parental supervision and child monitoring tools; restrictions on inappropriate or prohibited content; regulation of electronic games, digital advertising, and social networks; prevention and combat of violations against children and adolescents; reporting mechanisms and content removal procedures; transparency and accountability requirements; governance and regulatory oversight; and applicable sanctions.
